What makes this area so family friendly? With a population density at under forty people per square mile, “A” rated public schools, National Forests, National Wildlife Refuges, six rivers, five state parks, several lakes, golf courses, miles of unspoiled white sand beaches, one of the lowest crime rates in the state, and just a short drive to the state capital with shopping, entertainment and multiple universities, the better question is- What doesn’t?
Seriously this area seems to have that perfect combination of small town America charm with a laid back relaxed lifestyle perfect for raising a family, but is close enough to Tallahassee that you can enjoy all the benefits of a large city- airports, hospitals, healthcare, movies, malls, universities, arts, sports games, but without having to live there. Imagine waking up one morning and hitting the water early for a fishing trip and then meeting the family at the beach, followed up by an evening dinner at some of the world-famous seafood restaurants sitting down at the coast. Then the very next day taking a short drive into town to Watch an FSU football game, take in a movie, do some shopping or enjoy a downtown market, and then it’s just a short drive back home to relax and enjoy the peach and quite our area is known for.
